Sing Archives

You’ve seen it in movies, you’ve seen it at weddings, you may have seen it on the streets. The most epic form of battle to ever exist — a dance-off. If you’ve ever been able to bear witness to a dance-off, you know how crazy they can get.

The dance-off in the video you’re about to see is a dance-off like no other. What makes this dance-off so special is the fact that the man who the ends up “winning” the impromptu competition is the person you’d least expect. A grandpa!

A video was uploaded on YouTube by Manuel Gallegos and it has now been viewed over 1 million times. The title of the video will give you a good idea of what to expect from the epic battle. It’s called “Grandpa Break Dancing Battle.”

As the recording begins, there are two men that are dancing in the middle of a circle created by curious spectators. It’s obvious that one of the men is quite a bit older than the other. By a few decades!

The two men shake hands as a cover of Nirvana’s “Lithium” begins to play. The audience that surrounds the men were totally stunned when they saw what the older gentleman was about to do!

Kelly Clarkson was the very first winner of the hit talent show American Idol in 2002. In 2016, she would return to that very same stage and perform an original and emotional song for the series finale.

“You have us all in tears,” host Ryan Seacrest told her. “The emotion that you exude always, but especially in that important song, it’s just incredible.” The song that he is referring to is called “Piece By Piece.”

While Kelly was giving the performance, there wasn’t a dry tear in the house — including herself. She had joined the judge panel as a guest judge while she was pregnant which could explain the emotional performance.

“Super pregnant and hormonal,” Clarkson explained. “I’m pregnant, and it’s nostalgic, and I can’t believe it’s the last season. I’m really sorry I just bawled.”

However, anyone that watched the performance loved it so much that they too were in tears. People admired her for the raw and exposing song when you find out the meaning behind the song, you’ll cry too.

I’m sure most people are familiar with who John Legend is.  The amazing singer of songs like “Ordinary People” and “All Of Me”,  and the husband of Chrissy Teigen. And normally when we see John he is super professional and often discreet.

However, this time we see John in a whole new light and its great!

From Buzzfeed News:

On Saturday, Chrissy shared this video of John apparently drunk on wine and karaoke-ing his own song at Universal Studios.

Reuben Gray was ecstatic when he received word that he’d made it onto Britain’s Got Talent. At just 16-years-old, it was the opportunity of a lifetime. However, the teen also received bad news — his dad, his biggest fan, couldn’t come to watch.

Reuben was excited and nervous to show off his talent and skills to the world but it just wouldn’t be the same without his dad cheering him on in the crowd. Of course, the talented teen was determined to make his dad proud.

When Reuben stepped on the stage, he announced that he was going to perform an original composition, a song titled “Lifeline.” He had been practicing this song for months, but he still felt like something was missing.

Reuben told the judges and the crowd that he was going to call his dad as soon as the performance was finished. It was the closest thing to having his dad in the room there watching.

Right when Reuben sits down to start playing the piano, Simon Cowell asked him a question that would lead to one of the biggest surprises of Reuben’s life. Despite Simon having a reputation for being a bit hard-headed, he was going to prove to be a bit of a softie.

As it turns out, Simon had been planning this surprise for Reuben for a while. You’re going to want to watch this for yourself.

A couple of years ago, you might have come across a video on YouTube of a young man named Gary Barker. It went viral because his rendition of ‘Uptown Funk’ at a bus stop inspired total strangers to show off their dance movies.

Since then, he had gained a bit of attention and fame in his hometown of Liverpool; he even sings regularly at the local pubs around town. That’s why his fans were so excited when they found out he’d be a contestant on the X-Factor.

When Barker, 30, walked on the stage, he was hoping to wow the judges and make his two kids proud. He told the judges he’d be singing ‘Uptown Funk;’ the same song that had catapulted him into the YouTube spotlight in the first place.

Whether it was his nerves or the intimidating feeling of Simon staring you down, Barker’s performance ended just as soon as it began. The moment he began to sing, he was lacking the same energy he had years ago. The judges told him to stop.

The audition continues as Barker pleas to the judges to have a second chance. He tells them that his nerves had indeed gotten the best of him. Simon looks at him intently.
