This is one of my all-time favorite American Idol stories! The courage that Shayy shows is truly inspiring!

Countless American Idol hopefuls come to their auditions with inspiring back stories, but Shayy’s was a particularly emotional moment on Wednesday’s (Mar. 6) episode of the singing competition.

Shayy told judges that she has been legally blind for a little over a year, after suffering from hydrocephalus and the discovery of a tumor in her brain. She then dove into a powerful cover of Andra Day’s “Rise Up,” which immediately brought the judges to tears, especially Lionel Richie.

“You have wrecked me,” he told her, red faced from crying. “Lionel you look like you’re walking a daughter down the aisle,” Luke Bryan commented, before telling Shayy, “You have what we cannot teach. We cannot teach letting the music flow straight from the soul, and that’s what you did.”

As expected, the judges made the unanimous decision to send Shayy to the Hollywood round.

If you’re a fan of some intense and amazing talent, as well as a tremendous amount of heart-felt blues – THIS VIDEO will not disappoint.

In this 6 minute cover of the song, “Ain’t No Sunshine,” Matt Anderson wows the audience in the awesome live performance.

Believe it or not, this video is actually over 10 years old, and we only just discovered it today!

Even though I just found it, it doesn’t mean that I haven’t already watched it a 1/2 dozen times already. This is exactly how you’d expect a blues version of this song to be. From deep raspy yells to tones that bring you all the way up and down again, Matt sends you on a roller coaster of a ride with this song.

Just check out some of the comments that were left on this video

“This is now officially the correct way to perform this song.”

“His voice literally brought tears to my eyes”

“Saw this guy a long time ago and he is one of the best musicians I’ve ever heard. I’ve never been in a room where so many people were so intent on listening”

“that mans soul just made a statement”

But here’s the even more amazing this about this performance…

There is no doubt that there are people in this world talented beyond measure. People who can accomplish things that others have never even dared to imagine. It is that drive to make an audience feel a particular emotion that sets one talent apart from another.

With all the technology we have at our fingertips, the last decade has rolled out some of the most breathtaking performances. Many of these never would have come into being if it weren’t for the digital age. Now with the ability to blend all of the arts into one stunning performance, new artists are able to arise and move us with their unmatched and epic vision of the world.

Below is a list of 10 of Got Talent’s most moving multi-media performances.

Just like the judges, each of these videos will have you moved either to tears or to your feet in amazement. So grab those tissues and let’s get started.

10. Sila Sveta- What better way to introduce the multimedia arts than with this duo whose name means “Power of Light”. Watch as they defy gravity and leave judges boggled.

9. Tony & Jordan- This delightful duo blends magic with audio/visual projections and sleight of hand to stun the audience. Watch as these two twins dazzle the judges with their act of multiplicity.

Impressed yet? Good! It just keeps getting better.

Shows like America’s Got Talent, The Voice, and So You Think You Can Dance are getting more and more popular. It’s a great outlet for people to show off their incredible talents to the entire world.

Most of the time you’d expect to see singers, dancers, or even magicians on the show America’s Got Talent — ventriloquists are rare, and it’s a hard performance to pull off. It’s extremely difficult to be a talented and entertaining.

A man named Paul Zerdin was auditioning for the show, and ventriloquism was going to be his talent. He walks onto the stage and his face is shining with confidence.

The judges await his performance, wondering which direction his act was going to go. Little did they know, they were in for an amazing and hilarious treat. Nobody was expecting this at all.

During the second season of The X Factor, a 13-year-old girl walked onto the stage as an unassuming teenager. Dressed in jean shorts, a tank top, and sandals, the judges weren’t expecting much from the teen — until she started to sing.

This 13-year-old is named Carly Rose Sonenclar and she is from Mamaroneck, New York. When she walked on stage, the judges went through the motions in asking the normal ‘get-to-know-you’ questions.

The young teen tells the judges that she is going to sing Nina Simone’s bluesy classic “Feeling Good.” To pull off such a soulful, powerful song, it would take a seriously special voice. It turns out, Carly had that voice.

The judges sat in their seats, absolutely stunned that such a giant, soulful voice could come from a 13-year-old teen. L.A. Reid, one of the judges, said, “Honey, you may be 13, but your soul is old!”

Read On to see her performance that left the judges completely stunned. The audience couldn’t help but let out a roar of applause after the talented teen put down the microphone.
