Unimpressed judges stopped a young singer mid-performance and asked him to sing a different song. And boy, was that a good call!

Hunter Price came to America’s Got Talent pretty stoked. He was looking up, his eyes everywhere, hoards of people, blinding lights; judge Heidi Klum was quick to point out his excitement. Who wouldn’t be excited? It’s one of the biggest performance platforms in the world.

Price’s love for music started when he was 18 after his mom made him join a karaoke competition.

‘’When I was 18 years old, my mom entered me in a karaoke contest, and I keep doing it. It makes me happy,’’ he told the audience.

His original song of choice was Everything I Do by Brian Adams. However, the judges were not impressed by his rendition but felt that there was so much more to him than trying to be someone else, let along singing a song that doesn’t fit his voice.

So Simon did the honors. He stopped Price and asked him if he could sing another piece.

‘’Ok hang on. I think what you were doing is very generic. Forget about the karaoke competition, I’ve heard that a million times. I think you have a good voice so what’s missing here? What’s the missing part? Which artists do you look up to at the moment?’’

‘’I kinda, honestly, want to, be like Taylor Swift.’’

What’s harder than singing on national TV? Singing a Whitney Houston song on national TV! Whitney is an icon for a reason; her voice is unlike no other. It’s beautiful, powerful and controlled.

Glennis Grace, who hails from the Netherlands, flew to America to show off her vocal prowess on America’s Got Talent. She has one kid, an 11-year-old which she left home to compete in one of the world’s biggest stages.

The Dutch Diva chose to sing the late superstar’s ‘’Run To You,’’ which is a pretty standard choice. People are no strangers to people belting out Whitney songs in competitions but they are definitely not prepared for Glennis Grace. She’s not the first to sing it in front of millions but is definitely one of the few who nailed it!

When asked why she’s vying for the title of America’s Got Talent, she responded ‘’Ever since I was a little kid, I knew I was meant to sing for lots and lots of more people.’’ Anyone who hears her voice will not disagree.

The crowd was instantly captivated by her voice. Towards the chorus, people were starting to realize just how much she sounds just like Whitney, hitting every note of the song.

One would assume that anyone who dare get on one of the world’s biggest stage has confidence oozing out of them…but 13-year-old Brit Courtney Hadwin proves that isn’t always the case.

Courtney stunned at this year’s American’s Got Talent with her audition of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle,” which landed her the Golden Buzzer.

But when she first walked into the stage, she was very nervous and appeared incredibly shy in front of the judges. They asked her some questions and even offered kind words to ease the teenager’s nerves. She remained timid, that is until she had to perform.

The teenager seemed very anxious to get it over with but as soon as she opened her mouth, the judges were stunned by the voice that came out of her. What’s more is that her movements were far from the shy girl who showed up with a nervous chuckle.

Her arms were swinging, her legs kicking and she was pacing through the stage. She really owned that performance.

There was a mixture of shock, confusion and then awe in the face of the judges and the audience in the arena. They could not believe what they were seeing–an incredible transformation channeled through beautiful singing and chaotic movement.

Mikayla Phillips, a teenager from Canyon Lake, California earns the coveted final Golden Buzzer at this year’s America’s Got Talent competition.

The audition rounds of the competition was coming to a close. Judges Simon Cowell, Mel B and Howie Mandel–as well as host Tyra Banks– already gave away their Golden Buzzer. The world was anxious to see who Heidi Klum will be giving hers to.

The teenager came to the competition supported by family and friends which gave her the courage to perform in front of millions of people. It didn’t take long for the crowd to warm up to the 15-year-old, with her angelic face and absolutely beautiful voice.

It took mere seconds into her performance for the crowd to roar in awe of her beautiful rendition of Demi Lovato’s ”Warrior.” Her performance brought the crowd, including Heidi, to their feet as she masterfully belts out the song.

”She is amazing,” Mel B told her fellow judges after the performance. They could not agree more!

“I love you. I think you’re absolutely incredible,” Heidi said. “I love the whole package. I love your smile. I love how you project to everyone. Your voice is incredible. You know what I’m going to do for you?”

Reuben Gray was ecstatic when he received word that he’d made it onto Britain’s Got Talent. At just 16-years-old, it was the opportunity of a lifetime. However, the teen also received bad news — his dad, his biggest fan, couldn’t come to watch.

Reuben was excited and nervous to show off his talent and skills to the world but it just wouldn’t be the same without his dad cheering him on in the crowd. Of course, the talented teen was determined to make his dad proud.

When Reuben stepped on the stage, he announced that he was going to perform an original composition, a song titled “Lifeline.” He had been practicing this song for months, but he still felt like something was missing.

Reuben told the judges and the crowd that he was going to call his dad as soon as the performance was finished. It was the closest thing to having his dad in the room there watching.

Right when Reuben sits down to start playing the piano, Simon Cowell asked him a question that would lead to one of the biggest surprises of Reuben’s life. Despite Simon having a reputation for being a bit hard-headed, he was going to prove to be a bit of a softie.
