It has long been said that music is a universal language. One song can have a room full of people from different cultures, countries, backgrounds, and languages dancing and singing together, or crying and clapping in a standing ovation. It’s no wonder it takes most people years to master the art of such a powerful “language”.

Then there are these kids. So young a couple are still being potty trained, and yet they can move the whole world to their feet by picking up an instrument! Keep scrolling to see them in action!

8. Brandon Niederauer– Starting when he was 8, Brandon is only ten in this video clip from the Ellen show. Watch him showcase cover tunes from Lenny Kravitz and The Allman Brothers before hammering into his own original riff. Keep mind, he’s only been playing for 2 years at this point! Watch him rock it like a pro!

7. Sujari Britt– Her innate talent for music first made itself clear at the age of 2  when she started playing piano fluidly. At 4 she picked up her Cello and by 5 she was picked up by the Manhattan School of Music! By 8 years old, only four years after starting her training, she played at the Whitehouse! Now 7 years into her training, you won’t believe what she can do!

6. Justin Yu– This kid is just TOO adorable! He has been playing the cello since he was 3 years old. In this video, he is 7…only four years into his training! Not only is he an outstanding cellist, he has stage presence! His personality fills the room and it bleeds through into his music. See for yourself in the video below.

5. Alma Deutscher– Now all prodigies have remarkable stories, but Alma’s is exceptional beyond them. At 7 years old she had a dream about a piece of music she thought was Mozart. She picked up a violin and began to play what she heard in her dream, which was an original composition that she literally just dreamed up! This is not a single phenomenon either! Alma usually draws inspiration by daydreaming! Watch to hear the unbelievable workings of her imagination here.

4. Emily Bear-Emily has been playing piano since she was only 3 years old. She is now 6 and has performed concerts for the White House and her own house to everywhere in between, in just three years! If that isn’t enough, she also writes her own music making her a true example of a prodigy. watch the video to see what has people asking if she is “the next Mozart?”
