I have a special place in my heart for K9 dogs. I used to help rescue dogs in need due to abuse or other injuries. And several times we helped some that were K9.

Dogs in general are special but K9 dogs give up their lives to help keep the world a little safer. For that I’m eternally grateful.

So when I heard this news about this K9 Chief dog that was just recently shot my heart sank.

Apparently Chief and his handler officer were chasing after a suspect who allegedly fired gunshots at Chief.
