Jackie Evancho has officially entered the world of adulthood.

From her interview with People magazine:

The opera prodigy — who rose to fame in 2010 when she was the runner-up on America’s Got Talentat the age of 10 —says she’s grown older and wiser since turning 18 earlier this year, but she’s still very much a kid at heart.

“It feels kinda the same as 17 at first, but then all the responsibilities come hitting you all at once and I suddenly wish I was 17 again,” the “Pedestal” singer tells PEOPLE. But, she says of adulthood, “I love it, I get more control of my career now which is amazing.”

But unfortunately, one of the most challenging experiences for Jackie could have derailed her entire career.

Read On to see what this difficult experience was and how she handled it.

Adrian Romoff is only 9-years-old but he’s accomplished more in his nine years than most of us will in a lifetime. Oh, and his musical abilities? They’re off the charts.

That’s why the judges didn’t think it was really him playing when he auditioned for America’s Got Talent.

Adrian has already skipped five grades, has had concerts at Carnegie Hall, took third place in the American Protege International Music Talent competition, and appeared on The Ellen Show.

Did we mention he’s only 9-years-old? Howard Stern was so impressed by how many grades he skipped in school, he had to stand up and give him a standing ovation!

When Adrian auditioned for the ninth season of America’s Got Talent, the judges had no idea what they were in for. The talented kid opted to play the very complicated “Flight of the Bumblebee” on the piano.

“Are you exhausted now?” a visibly shocked Heidi Klum asked. “I’m exhausted from this.”

“Well you’d be even more exhausted if you were doing this,” replied the out-of-breath contestant as everyone busted out laughing.

But Howard Stern wasn’t quite buying it. He told Adrian that there had to be a soundtrack playing in the background. He just couldn’t believe it was all him…just this 9 year old doing this amazing performance with no help.

But Adrian just casually shrugged his shoulders and confidently offered to sing another song to prove his worthiness. And the judges loved it and so Heidi granted him permission to do another performance.

So then Adrian starts playing the piano again. And ends up doing an even BETTER performance on the piano. Watching him perform…you just can’t believe this is only a 9 year old kid. Even his mannerisms, and body language looked like that of an adult, not a kid!

Adrian started playing the piano when he was just 4-years-old and you can see he’s clearly mastered the craft….

When he started playing for the judges the second time, he decided on Chopin’s “Grande Valse Brillante” in E-flat major. Not for the rookie piano player…

All of the judges, especially Howard Stern, were completely shocked.

“You are the future. You are absolutely brilliant, the way you play, you live that music, I see it coming through your body,” Howie exclaimed.

“You are so far beyond your years. You know what, England has Harry Potter, we have you!”

Watch and share Adrian’s incredible performance below. Don’t forget to share it on Facebook with your friends and family!
