During the second season of The X Factor, a 13-year-old girl walked onto the stage as an unassuming teenager. Dressed in jean shorts, a tank top, and sandals, the judges weren’t expecting much from the teen — until she started to sing.

This 13-year-old is named Carly Rose Sonenclar and she is from Mamaroneck, New York. When she walked on stage, the judges went through the motions in asking the normal ‘get-to-know-you’ questions.

The young teen tells the judges that she is going to sing Nina Simone’s bluesy classic “Feeling Good.” To pull off such a soulful, powerful song, it would take a seriously special voice. It turns out, Carly had that voice.

The judges sat in their seats, absolutely stunned that such a giant, soulful voice could come from a 13-year-old teen. L.A. Reid, one of the judges, said, “Honey, you may be 13, but your soul is old!”

Alexandra Burke first made her television appearance when she auditioned for The X Factor UK’s second season almost ten years ago. Even though she lost, she wouldn’t be where she is today if it wasn’t for that moment.

After being cut from the second season, Alexandra didn’t want any pity. Instead, she went to work taking singing lessons. After three years of long, hard work — Alexandra decided to audition again.

Her professional singing lessons paid off because she ended up winning the fifth season of The X Factor UK. Her voice was phenomenal and there was no one that could deny it. She clearly deserved to win.

During this season, the 20-year-old had an epic performance with one of her “heroes.” That hero would be Beyonce. Not many young women get the opportunity to sing with a mega-star and idol of this caliber.

A teenager named Shanaya is most certainly one of those extremely talented people. At only 19-year-old, she has a voice that left the entire auditorium, including the judges, completely silent and speechless during her audition for The X Factor UK.

Shanaya lives with her mom in the UK, she says that although she’s nervous to be auditioning, singing is second nature to her. The teen says that she’s constantly singing around the house.

“She’s so happy when she sings. She’s like a totally different person,” said her supportive mother. The wonderful woman adopted Shanaya when she was just 3-years-old. She had a rough three years prior to ending up in their loving home.

Despite Shanaya having a hard time integrating into her new family at first, they were determined to give her a loving life and support her in whatever she did. One of those things was, of course, singing.

The nervous teen entered The X Factor UK audition room and you could sense her anxiety through the screen. However, once she starts singing? She gets completely in her zone and blows the judges away.
