Former Britain’s Got Talentwinner Ashleigh Butler returned to the world of TV talent shows on America’s Got Talent: The Championslast night (January 14) with her new dog Sully.

Ashleigh won BGT in 2012 with her beloved pooch Pudsey, who sadly passed away in 2017 after being diagnosed with leukaemia.

 

But the trainer returned to perform with her new dog Sully for judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, with a routine set inside a boxing ring.

The duo received a standing ovation from the judges, with Mel B commenting: “From start to end, it made me smile and gave me a warm feeling. I can see how much you love each other, I absolutely loved it. Well done.”

At the 53rd Annual CMA Awards there was an unprecedented number of amazingly talented female country stars present. On top of that, 14 of those stars got up on stage to perform nine of some of the biggest

hits in country music. There were stars spanning 40 years. The list of stars included: Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Jennifer Nettles, Karen Fairchild, The Highwomen, Sara Evans, Martina McBride and more!

But what made the the night even more special was that a legend herself was sitting in teh audience wathcing the ladies perform!

Yep, country legend Loretta Lynn was in attendance cheering on the ladies while they sang! It was a wonderful moment.

But Loretta Lynn wasn’t the only legend in attendance at the awards show, Willie Nelson was there also!

After the show, the two legends reunited – on Willie’s tour bus – and chatted. Luckily, Loretta shared the photo with us on Instagram!

“I had the best time at CMA Country Music Association Awards last night. It was so good to see so many of my friends. I loved catching up with my buddy Willie Nelson!” she wrote.

You really don’t see too many ventriloquists acts anymore. There is just a small handful that you still see and are noteworthy enough to remember. Not that there aren’t other ventriloquists out there that don’t deserve to be mentioned – it’s just not an act that is all that common in recent years.

Meet Nina Conti and her 2 (plucked from the crowd, completely embarrassed, shy, timid and completely unexpected) participants.

In this outrageously funny and unique performance, Nina Conti goes on to prove why this act has stood the test of time.

Yes, that’s right – this isn’t a recent act, but a video from several years ago that we wanted to reintroduce you to if you forgot about it…

For those of you that never saw it – You are in for a surprise.

If this video doesn’t get you to smile as well as bust out laughing, then I don’t know what will.

First, Nina picks Louisa from the crowd. As you’ll see, Louisa is quite surprised and shocked as well as extremely nervous to be on stage at the famous Apollo Theater.

Next, Nina let’s the poor, timid Louisa know that she’s going to help her “find her feet” and not be so shy to be up on stage by donning a moveable face mask over Louisa’s face. You can still see Louisa’s eyes, but her nose and mouth are completely covered as Nina controls the facial movements of the mouth from behind.

Hilarity ensues as Nina starts her act, as poor Louisa can only sit there and laugh as the audience laughs with her.

But Nina didn’t stop there – NOPE!

Shows like America’s Got Talent, The Voice, and So You Think You Can Dance are getting more and more popular. It’s a great outlet for people to show off their incredible talents to the entire world.

Most of the time you’d expect to see singers, dancers, or even magicians on the show America’s Got Talent — ventriloquists are rare, and it’s a hard performance to pull off. It’s extremely difficult to be a talented and entertaining.

A man named Paul Zerdin was auditioning for the show, and ventriloquism was going to be his talent. He walks onto the stage and his face is shining with confidence.

The judges await his performance, wondering which direction his act was going to go. Little did they know, they were in for an amazing and hilarious treat. Nobody was expecting this at all.

So…are you bombed out that you will have to wait until the summer before you can watch new episodes of America’s Got Talent? Well, we have some great news for you then!

Because Now, you’ll get to enjoy America’s Got Talent in the winter months too, thanks to a new spinoff called America’s Got Talent: The Champions, that will be premiering very soon!

This is awesome news for AGT fans who simply can’t get enough of all the amazing performances!
